Jon lives in London. Stephanie lives in Utah. Luckily for us, North Carolina is the halfway point and they chose the gorgeous mountains of Cashiers, NC as the backdrop to their Sawyer Family Farmstead wedding and let me tell you it was simply fabulous!! The ceremony took place in a mountainside pasture nestled among the Christmas trees overlooking Lake Glenville, and as the bridal party hitched a wagon ride behind a vintage Farmall tractor, Stephanie and her dad walked to the ceremony through the Christmas trees arm in arm. (For the record, any time you can work The Princess Bride into your vows and a Star Wars quote into your reception decorations, you are a rock star in our book!) Befitting the groom’s British roots, there were touches of home throughout the wedding including the most incredible Guinness chocolate cupcakes, and because there are no graham crackers ‘across the pond’ Stephanie gave a s’more making demonstration for all the UK s’more noobs. From the gorgeous location to the fabulous cupcakes to the lavender sprinkles for their send-off everything was the dog’s bollock’s.
