Julie and Tom | Charlotte Wedding photographers | St. Mary’s | Big Chill
Picture this: a misty December afternoon and you walk through the bride’s house and instead of hearing Jason Mraz or Maroon 5 on an iPhone, the dulcet tones of Dean Martin and Etta James are filling the cozy bungalow with songs of love and romance. And to make it even better, the slightly scratchy songs are coming from a vintage turntable spinning some vinyl. Oh, yeah, this is our kind of wedding. Julie and Tom are absolutely some of the most loving and genuine people you’ll ever meet and their St. Mary’s and Big Chill wedding was simply perfect for their day. Tom’s mother and sister played a beautiful violin/flute duet while Julie waited in the world’s smallest prep room. (If you’ve been to St. Mary’s you know what I mean.) After the ceremony, Tyler and the crew at Big Chill kicked the reception into high gear amid the blue and silver ornaments adorning each table. By the end of the night I think everyone had forgotten the rainy start to the day and sent Julie and Tom off under a shower of sparklers.
