Erica and Franklin | Charlotte Wedding Photographer | Ballantyne Hotel
This. Wedding.
First let me say, we LOVE our weddings at the Ballantyne Hotel and Resort. Not only is it a stunningly gorgeous facility, but there may not be a more professional and talented staff in all of North Carolina. I won’t name names, but let’s just say everyone who works there is amaaaaaazing! Now back to Erica and Franklin. Erica had a vision for an elegant purple and orange-detailed reception with vertical flowers gold candles and flower petals that was beyond gorgeous, but she also had a surprise that would add a little ‘pop’ to the evening. Fireworks! The real kind that you can’t buy at a roadside stand in South Carolina and elicit oohs and aahs from anyone lucky enough to see them. Yes, those kind of fireworks. Before the reception kicked into high gear, the entire wedding headed out to the lawn for a spectacular nighttime display and Erica’s expression as the sky lit up with spectacular red, blue, purple and gold, was simply priceless. When everyone returned to the party DJ Jonah Pearl from Split Second Sound, kicked it into high gear and it seemed like no one left the dance floor until the fluorescent lights were turned on. We ended the evening with a few private moments with our bride and groom on the grand staircase, and once again the Ballantyne sparkled with beauty as Erica and Franklin held each other before they left as Mr. and Mrs. Scott.
