You know it’s gonna be a good wedding when you arrive at the grooms house at 9:30 in the morning and you’re handed a canteen of Serbian moonshine! This wedding was a celebration of family, family, and more family. After 15 hours with this amazing group and numerous shots of the ‘Serbian Party Enhancement Beverage’, we successfully made the transition from photographers to relatives, and we’re pretty sure we were adopted by more than one family along the way.

This was our first Orthodox Serbian wedding and there were so many interesting parts of the ceremony; from the crowning, to the binding of their hands and finally the walk around the altar reminding the couple that Christ is the center of their lives and this marriage. This was a ceremony steeped in tradition and significance.

Speaking of tradition, there’s noting like a Kolo dance to get everyone out of their chairs and onto the dance floor. Oopa!!!
