Ron

Ron picked up his first camera when he was only three-years old and hasn’t looked back since. After a degree in photography he found himself working at one of Chicago’s largest professional studios photographing models and products during the week and weddings on the weekend. After one too many non-creative weddings and product shoots to count, Ron fell out of love with photography (It’s not you, it’s me) and became one of the country’s leading Creative Directors working for clients like John Deere, Lowe’s, and Bruegger’s Bagels. After his youngest child (ahem, Briana) showed an interest in photography, he rediscovered the joy of creating magic with a camera, and Love Shutter was born.
A bit more about RON
Ron prides himself on continuing his education in every aspect of photography, whether it’s advanced lighting techniques, the latest camera gear, or exploring new possibilities so that our couples have the most incredible images of their wedding day. When Ron isn’t behind the camera, you can find him in his workshop, helping his family with home improvement projects, rooting for his favorite “Survivor” contestant, fly fishing, and spending time with his loved ones.
Likes: Fly fishing, hot pretzels, cold beer, spending Sunday afternoons with his family.
Dislikes: Cheese, (yes believe it or not, cheese), drivers that don’t use turn signals, and splinters-especially cheese splinters.
Favorite movies: The Princess Bride, Gran Torino
Favorite band: Currently, Ed Sheeran
Little known fact: Ron once shot his brother with a BB gun and was blackmailed by him for 2 years. Oh, and he broke his leg skydiving. True story.
Ron’s favorite part of the day: The father daughter dance may be one of the most emotionally charged moments of the wedding day. He may or may not have cried more than once.
